How Does it Work?

Kids can join exciting fundraising events where they learn heart healthy skills, have fun jumping rope or shooting hoops, and raising money for the American Heart Association.

BGS K-4 students participate in Jump & Hoops during PE in February each year. There are prizes for the class that raises the most funds as well as the biggest fund-raising students.

2019 Results - SUCCESS! fundraiser winners

The 2019 Jump Rope for Heart Finale Assembly was held on Friday, March 8 at 1:00 in the BGS 3-4 gym.  All students, Kindergarten through 4th grades attended the assembly. 

The Blood Drive was a success with over 40 donors providing blood for 123 people!

Mr McGee's 4th grade class won a pizza party by signing up volunteers to donate 5 pints of blood which translates to helping 15 blood recipients.  

Mrs. Clark's 2nd Grade class raised $864.00 to win a pizza party.

Nurse Rock presented awards for the top three student raising the most funds: 

  1.  Andrew Klein - $680.00

  2.  Kyler Followell - $335.00

  3.  Karrigan Jay - $269.56

A goal of $4500 was set and an amazing challenge was made. If the goal was met, Nurse Rock and K-4 Assistant Principal, Mrs. Blakey would kiss a pig! The goal was surpassed with a total raised of $5470.41! Pucker up!
