Benton Grade School is extremely fortunate to have five volunteer "Grandmas" to work with the K-4 students through the One Hope United Foster Grandparent Program.  These ladies work at the school from two to as many as five days per week assisting students with letters, sounds, and numbers.  The Grandmas also listen to students read and help with fluency and comprehension development.  These Grandmas work hard to assist our teachers by providing additional support for the students.

Tuesday, April 3, was national Volunteer Day.  The Benton Grade School Grandmas were recognized and presented with corsages to wear proudly displaying their commitment to education.
