Finishing Out the 2019-2020 BGS School Year
Dear Parents:
The staff at Benton 47 would like to thank you for your partnership with us to provide your children learning opportunities during the pandemic. We appreciate everyone sharing with us all the great things your children are accomplishing.
Dates and Details: Finishing Out Our School Year
April 27 - May 8
Remote learning will continue
Completed work can be placed in the totes at the K-4 or 5-8 doors
May 11 - 15 Wrap up week
Student’s personal belongings will be handed out using a drive by curbside pickup
There will be no new remote learning lessons
Students will use this week to complete work and turn it in
May 15th
Last day to turn in work
May 18th
Last day of school
May 22nd
Report cards will be mailed home
May 22nd
1st - 4th grade teachers will mail home a postcard to next year’s students
Additional information
Grades
Students will not receive the traditional letter grades for 3 trimester/4th quarter. Benton will be following the state recommended pass/incomplete for the work the students complete. Work can be sent to teachers electronically or turned into the totes.
Graduation (cancelled)
There will not be a traditional graduation ceremony. There will be a virtual graduation made to honor our 8th graders. Additional information will be given to 8th graders.
K-4 Spring pictures, K-4 year books, 5-8 year books (updated 5/8/20)
Spring pictures be passed out at the curbside pickup on Monday, May 11th and Wednesday, May 13th.
Registration for 2020-2021 school year
All currently enrolled students will automatically be enrolled for next school year. When we return, enrollment packets will be sent home for parents to update information and sign required documents. Students will be removed if we receive records request from another school.
Kindergarten Registration for 2020-2021 school year
Kindergarten Screening /Registration will be rescheduled at a later date in the summer.
Summer School
There are no plans for summer school.
Medication
Parents will need to contact the office to schedule a time to pick up medications.
We look forward to the fall when students will once again be in our halls and our classrooms. Please be safe over the summer and take care.
