Every year, Benton Grade School participates in the Patriot Pen essay contest sponsored by the V.F.W. This year the theme was " What Patriotism is to Me". The 6th , 7th, and 8th graders each wrote an essay on this topic.
The winners from each grade level were: 6th grade: 3rd place- Callie McCann, 2nd place -Maddie Cockrum, 1st place- Landon Grimm 7th grade: 3rd place - Shauna Wilkerson, 2nd place- Carter Norton, 1st place- Jazmeen Ankrom 8th grade: 3rd place- Parker Johnson, 2nd place Norah Sanders, 1st place- Tyler Buntin
The overall winner for BGS 47 was Jazmeen Ankrom!!! Congrats Jazmeen!!!
