The girls' basketball team kicks off spring break tonight with a home game against Herrin (5:00 PM). The doors will open for spectators with JV tickets at 4:40 PM. Once the gym has been cleared following the JV game, Varsity ticket holders may enter. Congratulations to the boys' basketball team on advancing to the regional finals with a win over West Frankfort last night. They will play for the regional championship this Thursday at 5:30 PM. Players will receive spectator tickets at practice. Spectators must have a ticket to attend the championship game. Good luck Rangers!

The boys' basketball regional tournament kicks off tonight in the Event Center. Each team was given 25 spectator tickets, and a ticket must be presented to pay admission into the game. Tickets are for the game your team is playing in only. The gym will be cleared and cleaned between the two contests. Benton and West Frankfort start the night at 5:00 PM followed by Du Quoin and Johnston City. Thanks again to our families and fans for making this unusual season as enjoyable as possible!

Congratulations to the Varsity boys' basketball team on an exciting, overtime win against Carterville last night. The boys will be back in action for their final regular season game this Thursday at Carbondale. Carbondale streams games through their Facebook page, "Carbondale Elementary School District #95 Sports".
We were experiencing technical difficulties with the Live Stream of the 8th grade basketball game. Check the Benton 47 you tube page as we should be back up and running. Benton is up 13-7 after the 1st quarter.
