Don't forget that Chromebooks sites are available in the K-2 Gym and the Event Center Lobby for students to utilize from 8:00 AM - 3:00 PM during remote learning days. Students need to be accompanied by an adult while working at one of these locations. Have a great day!

BGS Parents: Due to high number of Covid related illnesses and quarantines among BGS faculty and staff we will be implementing a short term closure beginning Monday, Nov. 9 through the conclusion of Thanksgiving break. Students return to school on Monday, Nov. 30. All students will be full-time remote learning on scheduled instructional days during the closure. We certainly regret the need to pause in-person instruction, but the safety and health of everyone at BGS is and will remain our top priority. Thank you.

Good afternoon parents, this is Steve Smith, Superintendent at BGS. As you know, having students and teachers in class teaching and learning has been the goal from the very beginning of school and continues today. BGS faculty and staff, through it all, have been amazing and have met the current challenges we face head on. However, due to COVID-19, we are really struggling with daily staffing needs. We currently have multiple staff members on quarantine. Today, we were substantially understaffed, but safely managed. Additional absences above current levels will be unmanageable. In addition, the number of substitute teachers for many of these positions remains severely limited. The purpose of my communication is to provide advance notice and to encourage you to have an alternative supervision plan for your student/s in the event we are required to have a short-term closure. Again, this is simply an advance communication in case we are required to go that direction. We do not want to put you in a “last minute” situation where you are scrambling to find viable supervision for your children. Thank you, have a wonderful evening.

Good morning! Yesterday, a spring semester registration form was sent home with all in-person learners and mailed home to all remote learners. These forms will help us schedule the spring semester. Forms are due by November 13th, but the earlier they are returned, the earlier we can begin planning. I have attached a link to a PDF of the form. Thanks for your help! https://core-docs.s3.amazonaws.com/documents/asset/uploaded_file/992127/2020-21_Spring_Semester_Registration_Form.pdf
