Good morning! If you have a ticket to today’s baseball game, don’t forget your lawn chair. Baseball parking will be in the east lot and fans won’t be allowed to exit vehicles and approach the field until 12:30PM at the earliest. Let’s have a great day cheering on the Rangers!
LATEST BASEBALL NEWS! Tuesday’s game will see the number of fan tickets decreased to 75 per team. This comes from the IDPH. I will provide more information about ticket distribution once I receive them.
The following is the most update information that I have for the state baseball tournament tomorrow. Location: Centralia Rotary Park. Game Time: 1:00 PM vs Highland (the game will not start before 1:00 PM). Arrival: Remain in your vehicles until you see Benton take the field for warm-ups. The earliest that teams and fans will be allowed to approach the field is 12:30 PM (as long as the first game finishes on time). Tickets: Players each received 5 tickets that allow fans to purchase admission once at the game. If you do not have one of these tickets when you arrived at the gate, you will be turned away. The SIJHSAA continues to release more information as it becomes available about the Final 4 state baseball tournament in Centralia, at Rotary Park. Our first round game will be on 10/10/20 vs. Highland (1:00PM). Spectators must have a ticket to attend. The ticket distribution process and all other details will be provide to players/families at the start of practice today.

We have a busy day for BGS fall sports. The cross country team will be running varsity races against Harrisburg and West Frankfort starting at 3:00 PM in the park. The baseball team will begin their quarterfinal state game at 4:00 PM at Du Quoin High School. Please continue to follow SIJHSAA/IDPH guidelines so that our students will continue to have the opportunity to compete. Good luck to all of our athletes, coaches and teams!

Good morning! As many of you know, our Boys' Baseball team won a Regional championship last week and will begin the state series on Wednesday, October 7 at Du Quoin High School at 4:00 PM. I am attaching a link from the SIJHSAA with guidelines that will need to be followed in order for our team to able to continue to play. The ticket process mentioned will only apply for the Final 4 held in Centralia. If you plan on attending Wednesday's game, please review these guidelines and help us keep the boys on the field. We have just added a Cross Country meet for Wednesday, October 7th @ 3:00 PM in the Benton Park. This will be a Varsity only meet with West Frankfort and Harrisburg. Coach Sloan will provide additional information to runners as needed.
The SIJHSAA just released the pairings for the first round of the 2020 State Baseball Tournament. Benton will travel to Du Quoin (High School) on Wednesday, October 7th for a 4:00 PM start. Good luck Rangers!
