5-8 Announcements for 9/9/21:
The 5-8 picture day schedule for Friday, September 10th has been canceled. A new date will be announced once it has been scheduled.
Christopher had to cancel the baseball/softball games originally scheduled for 9/17 due to homecoming activities. The softball team will now be playing at Ewing on 9/17 (4:30). At this time, baseball does not have a game scheduled. Regional schedules should be decided by the middle of next week.
Updated athletic schedule to include the make-up game at Carbondale on 9-11-21.
5-8 Announcements for 9-8-21:
Softball pictures will be taken tomorrow before the game in the park. The photographers plan to start taking pictures at 3:15 PM. Baseball pictures will be taken before the game on September 16th.

The softball team kicks off a long weekend with a win over Wayne City. Congrats girls!
The baseball and softball games that were rained out this week at Carbondale have been rescheduled for Saturday, September 11th at 10:00 AM. The bus for Carbondale will leave at 8:15 AM.
Benton baseball comes up with a 9 inning win over Carmi (6-7). Great win boys!
Softball Update: A softball game has been added to the schedule for tomorrow (9/3) against Wayne City. The game will start at 4:30 in the park. Baseball and softball both play at home this afternoon against Carmi.
Benton Cross Country kicks off their season this afternoon at the park. The JV race will start at 4:00 PM with the varsity race to immediately follow. Good luck to all runners!
The baseball/softball games scheduled for today at Carbondale have been canceled to due to poor field conditions. Baseball will practice from 3:30-5:00 at the park. Softball will practice after school until 4:30 in the 5-8 Gym. A make-up date will be announced once scheduled.
Sports pictures will be coming up in the next couple of weeks for baseball and softball. Baseball pictures will be on 9/8, and softball pictures will be on 9/16. Pictures will be taken before the game on those dates.
Cross Country 2021 kicks off this Wednesday at the Benton Park. The JV race starts at 4:00 PM. A season schedule is attached.
